Please don't get caught up in the 'get fit quick' or the 'spring back to your pre baby body' hype, it can be dangerous for your postnatal body.

 

Please don't jump into some form of workout too quickly, too hardcore, too soon and do yourself harm. Learn everything you need to know about exercising safely after a baby in this event for FREE!

This event will show you how you can nurture your body carefully and safely into exercise so you are able to jump on a trampoline with confidence your body can, carry your baby for as long as they need without back pain, heal your stomach and look proudly at the postnatal body looking back at you in the mirror.​ WITHOUT rushing it and possibly causing your precious body harm.

And now is the perfect time.

 

The summer holidays is over, the older children are back to school and routine starts to resume again. Now is the time to think about you and your body and working out how to fit building and keeping you strong into your routine with a new baby.

What the event will look like

Held in a Pop Up Private Facebook group 

 

  • Monday 12th, 1PM  - Pelvic floor, How to connect with both sets of muscles and each layer of muscles in your pelvic floor to get an effective connection so that you can jump on a trampoline with your children with confidence.

  • Tuesday 13th, 1PM - Abdomen, Understand that your abdominal muscles separated during pregnancy (Diastasis Recti) and learn to assess how their healing is going. Learn how this can be connected with lower back pain and an extended lower stomach and how to heal this so you can feel strong in your core when you lift your toddler.

  • Wednesday 14th, 1PM - We are bombarded with messages from the world that tells us our body should look a certain way and makes us feel inadequate in the body we are in now. Let's see those messages for what bull that they are and help our children see that too. An interesting listen - come with an open mind.

  • Thursday 15th, 1PM - How to take everything you have learnt into exercise so you can feel confident that you are exercising safely and really start feeling the difference. 

  • Friday 16th, 10AM - The chance to try a Live Baby Wearing (Wear your baby optionally) Exercise class so you can exercise without having to stress out trying to leave the house, disturb a sleeping baby or find childcare. You can even do it in you PJ's. A replay will be sent if you can not make it live. 

  • Friday 16th, 1PM - Next steps, Now what? How to carry on this journey so that you can be strong and feel strong for the rest of your life for you and your children so you can live your best life. 

  • Saturday and Sunday 17th and 18th - The weekend for you to catch up on the previous week of Lives so don't worry if you don't manage to keep up.

  • Wants to feel connected to their Pelvic Floor again and confidently jump on a trampoline with your children.

  • Wants to adventure with their children without having to worry about whether their body will manage (I am talking joining in at the park and soft place, climbing a tree and exploring the world)

  • Is feeling a bit, meh, about their Postnatal body but wants to be able to look in the mirror and feel good about what they see. 

  • Wants an end to lower back pain so there is no limit to how long they can carry their baby for.

  • Would like answers to why their lower stomach just isn't the same and what they can do about it. 

  • Would like to exercise but doesn't know where to start to keep it safe for your newly postnatal body. 

  • Wants to nurture their body back to full strength post baby safely. No forcing it to do anything it isn't ready to do yet.

You will leave the event with...

 

  • More confidence in your pelvic floor. It is common that women do not connect with the muscles around their urethra (where you pee from) during pelvic floor connection. Don't let this be you. You will then understand what you need to do to allow you to confidently jump on a trampoline with your children without the need for kegels (Pelvic floor exercises) for the rest of your life. 

  • An understanding of why you get lower back pain (expect some ah ha moments) and how to connect with and strengthen the muscles around your lower back so there is no limit to how long you can carry your children.

  • Knowing whether your Diastasis Recti has healed or not and what to do about it. During pregnancy the muscles running down the front of your stomach separate to allow for your growing baby (Diastasis Recti). Often the Diastasis Recti doesn't heal properly without some nurturing leaving a lax lower stomach area and lower back pain. You will leave the event having assessed if you have a Diastasis Recti and how to heal and prevent one.

  • A taster of what a Baby Wearing exercise class feels like and an option of a way to move your body safely, with your baby in your own home.  

  • It is the perfect way to start your journey to a post baby body you feel confident in before deciding to join the membership or on its own as a way of learning more about your body as you start that journey in other ways.

About Me

Karen Ellis - Postnatal Rehabilitation Coach

I am Karen, Midwife turned Postnatal Rehabilitation Coach right where I am meant to be helping new mums build a post baby body they feel strong in and look at in the mirror and feel proud of. 

I call bull on all of the quick fixes when it comes to postnatal fitness. Your body is precious and needs nurturing back to fitness in its own time. For some that will be 21 days for others it will be 21 months. There is no rush. Done right it will serve you for the rest of your life. 

I am mum to a 8 and 15 year old and live in gorgeous Scarborough on the East coast. This is where I became a midwife. After several years of feeling beaten by the system that didn't allow me to give the care women deserved I trained in Postnatal and Antenatal fitness and baby wearing to serve new mums in my own way. I am here to support you and hold your hand on your journey to feeling confident with and proud in your Postnatal body.
